Create Patch
Section titled “Create Patch”In the Create Patch window, you set up everything needed for a fully functional patch on the grandMA desk.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| 2️⃣ Patch Mode | Merge the new fixtures with the existing ones on the desk, or Overwrite them entirely. |
| Layer Mode | Single Layer puts all fixtures into one layer, which is useful for adding some fixtures to the show file. Multi Layer creates multiple layers based on the Layer-Name options. |
| Layer-Name | Choose which fields name the layers: Position, FixtureType and/or Function. |
| Set Name | Define the fixture labels with a template. The default is Position, Model Short, Function and a running number. A preview is shown below the button. |
To create the patch and upload it directly (if you are in Network Upload or Local Export mode), simply press the Create Patch button.
Update Patch
Section titled “Update Patch”If you have updates for the fixtures that are already on the desk, use the Update Patch window. It creates macros to update the following values — select the ones you need:
- 3D Positions
- 3D Rotations
- Label (with the same Set Name template as above)
- DMX-Patch
Press Create Macros to create and upload the macros.
Create Filters
Section titled “Create Filters”You can effortlessly create the following basic filters for the current fixtures in the showfile. Just press Create Filters:
- Values Only
- Timing Only
- FX Only
- All Without Control
- A filter for each Preset Type (e.g., Dimmer, Position, Color, Gobo, etc.)
