FTP
The software includes a file browser for the desk, making it easy to exchange data, such as show files, with the desk without constantly needing a USB stick. Depending on the MA mode, the tab is called FTP2 (FTP for grandMA2) or FTP3 (SFTP for grandMA3). Both work the same way.
Browse the desk
Section titled “Browse the desk”Press Connect to load the folders of the desk. The files are shown in a tree with the columns Name, Type and Size — even folders with thousands of files load quickly.
- Click a folder to open or close it. The clicked folder is highlighted and becomes the destination for uploads.
- Click a file to select it. Shift-click selects a range of files.
- Type into Filter to show only the matching files. All words must match, and the wildcards
*,?and[ ]are supported. Folders stay visible. - Files and folders are sorted naturally (e.g. “show 2” comes before “show 10”).
Upload
Section titled “Upload”Click the destination folder, then press Upload Files and choose one or more files from your computer. If a file already exists on the desk, prepare asks whether it should be overwritten. The folder reloads automatically after the upload.
Download
Section titled “Download”Select one or more files, press Download Files and choose a folder on your computer. Existing files are only overwritten after a confirmation.
